MS Youth Initiative was started in 2006. The club started with only a few members mainly comprising of the Pre-University and Form 4 Students with a few Form 5 and 3 students. But this year, the club accommodates approximately 7.5% (about 130 students) of the schools population (about 1700 students) which is a phenomenal feat for a club only reaching its third year.
In the years before this, the club focused on important issues especially those connected to the environment and have been very active and successful in various projects. This year we hope mirror what our predecessors have done and achieved, but in a larger and better scale considering the massive population of the club.
Our mission is to not only initiate projects and drive them into action for our own sake, but also for the sake of the school and its population. We hope to activate the awareness of the school's population on the effects of their actions, good or bad, to the school and the environment and therefore ultimately to themselves.
